Systemic treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma in a patient with hemophilia A: A case report

Introduction. Hepatocellular carcinoma is a serious problem for patients with hemophilia. Hepatitis C virus infection the most common comorbidity in adult inherited bleeding disorders, including Case Report. This case report of 65-year-old male patient hemophilia A and hepatocellular carcinoma. Sorafenib treatment was initiated at dose 400 mg/day, after 50% reduction. In order to prevent episodes, prophylactic doses replacement plasma-derived factor VIII concentrate (40 U/kg body weight three times week) were introduced. Our received total ten cycles sorafenib therapy, good general condition, without episodes. Conclusion. Differential chemotherapy not contraindicated provided that adequate hemostasis achieved. such cases, multidisciplinary approach necessary management during systemic cancer treatment.
